The Brief

Design and deliver a four-day celebratory weekend in Paris for a group of 20 guests, centred around a surprise 50th birthday celebration.

The programme needed to combine iconic Parisian experiences with relaxed social time, while ensuring the celebration remained a complete surprise for the birthday guest.

Key Challenges

Maintaining absolute discretion throughout the planning process so the birthday guest remained unaware of the celebration and the arrival of his friends
Coordinating travel, accommodation and activities for guests arriving from different locations with varied schedules
Managing high-demand reservations across multiple venues, including restaurants and the Eiffel Tower
Responding rapidly to unexpected travel disruption when Eurostar services were cancelled on the day of travel

Our Approach

Designed a curated four-day itinerary combining organised experiences with time for guests to explore Paris independently
Secured accommodation at two centrally located hotels: a five-star hotel for the birthday couple and a four-star boutique hotel for guests
Managed all travel logistics, including Eurostar bookings, transfers and contingency planning
Rapidly reorganised travel arrangements when Eurostar services were cancelled, securing alternative flights the same evening to ensure the birthday couple arrived in time for the celebrations
Coordinated a series of curated experiences, including a private wine tasting, cultural activities in Montmartre and dining experiences across Paris
Delivered a signature celebration experience with a private boat day along the River Seine, including live music, decorations and personalised touches
Carefully staged the surprise moment at the top of the Eiffel Tower, coordinating guest positioning, lift access and Champagne service to ensure the reveal unfolded perfectly
