  • New Face, Old Hand! Paul Ratcliffe

    We are very fortunate to have Paul join Conference Contacts as Head of Business Development, a highly experienced and qualified member of our senior management team.

    A Cambridge graduate, Paul has been in the Events industry for almost 30 years and has a wealth of experience across a full range of industries and types of event. Well known in the events industry, Paul used to own Talking Point, one of the UK’s largest full service agencies with offices in Maidenhead and Chicago. Paul ran this company from 1986 to 2006.

    Paul commented: “I am delighted to have this opportunity to help Denise and her team at Conference Contacts through the next stage of the company’s growth.”

    When Paul is not sailing around the world he enjoys a spot of ‘glamping’!

  • New Recruit! Sarah Ratner

    Another new recruit, the team at Conference Contacts welcomes Sarah as its newest addition. Sarah has been brought on board in a support role to the Sales and Operations Teams. At 22 she is the youngest member of Conference Contacts having graduated just over a year ago. Her degree in Philosophy and Performing Arts provides a unique mix of creativity and curiosity!

    Whilst studying, Sarah has worked in several different industries which include event management, organising Oxford College annual balls; assisting with photo shoots for Condé Nast Brides magazine, working for Endemol TV on “Gok’s Fashion Fix” and even spending some time working in the fashion department in Harrods! Sarah’s specialist subject is the culinary village of Bray-on-Thames, given that she has worked at or sampled most of the restaurants there! This dynamic and eclectic mix of experience gives her a great basis to build on as she broadens her experience with us here at Conference Contacts.

  • Whisked away on the Orient Express….

    The Orient Express is leaving the station...

    Leaving the main concourse of London Victoria Station, and passing down the platform for the check in to the British Pullman Orient Express it seemed that the rush of the heady 1920’s had returned! Ladies in their long gowns, men in their spats and panama hats and stewards in their smart uniforms awaited all those that boarded this impressive train.

  • New kid on the block…The Corinthia London

    One of London’s latest openings, the Corinthia London, has now been online since April 2011, so when the property kindly extended its hospitality for an agency evening with a twist I couldn’t refuse. A few of the team and I conducted a hard-hat tour and had a conceptual overview back in February this year. To go from what we saw, then which was quite literally a building site, to the slick, contemporary flagship property that is open now is quite remarkable.
