Nokia tasked us with managing a 3 day internal training event for 180 delegates, requiring a European venue near an accessible airport with cost effective flight routes. They needed meeting room facilities and break out rooms for their main plenary session, as well as engaging and fun evening entertainment for their delegates.
Hotel Corinthia, Budapest.
The main challenge from this brief came with the timing, with just six weeks from initial enquiry to delivering the final event.
With a quick turnaround being the key objective in delivering this brief, six venue options were presented to the client including hotels in Lisbon, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Athens. A combination of value for money, accessibility and facilities eventually saw the event placed at the Hotel Corinthia in Budapest. Meeting facilities were provided by the hotel, and a fabulous atmospheric drinks reception on board a boat on the River Danube provided the delegates with an evening to remember – as they danced the night away to live music performed on-board by a local gypsy band.
